This year, I resolve to become more healthy. So, I've decided, somewhat on the fly, that I will blog about my quest to become healthier. I hope I don't regret this!
Back in October or so, I started the C25K program, where I went from being a couch potato to (almost) running a 5k in 9 weeks. Or I was supposed to ... an injury, a cold and the holidays have delayed me a little, but not stopped me completely. I should be finishing week 6 on Monday. Woo hoo!
The hubby and I are planning on running the Susan G. Komen 5k in May and who knows where we'll go from there. I'd love to do a mini-triathalon sometimes next fall or early next year.
I'd also love to drop a few pounds, but my love for food always seems to get in the way. I also hate dieting, so that doesn't help much. But, I really want to be a good example of healthy eating and lifestyle for my kids. And, I want to be around to see them for a long time. So, we'll see how that all works out.
